Lada Links:
- Lada Parts Australasia - cheap parts from Queensland, overnight delivery in Australia. If you want to work on your car and you live in Australia, contact them.
These people are my heroes. Three times I've ordered parts from them and each time they've had everything I wanted, significantly cheaper than the price quoted by a company where I live (Western Australia). e.g. an alternator
which would have cost $400 here was $260 including overnight delivery. The people here didn't have just a regulator,
but if they did it would've been nearly $200 - Lada Parts Australasia had one, for $54 including delivery.
I generally prefer to buy locally, but in this case - Samaras don't fetch much secondhand, and I'm concerned that
some people, faced with high repair costs, might scrap cars that could actually be kept on the road.
They also run a couple of Samara rally cars - go have a look at their pictures!
- No internet link for this, but if you live in Perth, Western Australia and you want a mechanic to work on your car, Sweet Kay thought highly of Auto Distributors, 23 Pearson Way, Osborne Park. Tel. 1800 688 352. It seems that they used to be Lada Australia Pty Ltd, but are now trying to diversify (because of the shrinking Lada market, I guess). Their parts prices are pretty good too.
