I have 3 cars: A 1958 Hillman Minx, a 1988 Lada Samara, and a 1967 Humber Super Snipe.
The Minx was my Grandfather's car, and was my first car.
A Super Snipe was my dream car, and some years ago I finally got around to buying one. (This was a bit silly, as it meant that I had 2 cars).
The Hillman's body is in worse shape than the Humber's, and I get quite depressed all winter if I have to go out and it gets rained on, because the rust will get worse. Sometimes I've caught public transport and walked under an umbrella for half an hour to get somewhere, rather than take the car out in the rain.
More recently, Sweet Kay offered me her 1988 Lada Samara for free and I jumped at the chance. My main excuse was that I'd be able to drive around in the rain - but also I do really like Lada Samaras, and I like this one in particular because it was Kay's. It was actually quite a silly idea because it meant that I had 3 cars. And three Regos to pay, and potentially, 3 Third Party Insurances, and 3 RAC memberships.
